Jenseits von 1000 ASA: was geht da wirklich ?

Von Ilford und Kodak sind zwei SW Filme auf dem Markt die 3200 ASA im Namen tragen. Was können die wirklich? Sind sie tatsächlich 3 Blenden empfindlicher als ein klassischer 400 ASA Film wenn man die gleichen Kriterien zugrund legt?

Wie sieht es im Vergleich dazu mit einer Push-Entwicklung aus? Für den KODAK T-MAX 400 wird für mehrere Entwickler eine empfindlichkeitssteigernde Entwicklung auf 1600 ASA propagiert.
Wie das in der Praxis aussieht und was sich für die beiden 3200 ASA Filme und einige beliebte Entwickler ergibt vergleicht habe ich mir näher angesehen und in einem ausführlichen Bericht zusammengefasst.

There are two black and white films on the market from Ilford and Kodak that have 3200 ASA in their names. What can they really do? Are they really 3 f-stops more sensitive than a classic 400 ASA film if you apply the same criteria?

How does push development compare? For the KODAK T-MAX 400, a sensitivity-increasing development to 1600 ASA is propagated for several developers.

I have taken a closer look at what this looks like in practice and what the results are for the two 3200 ASA films and some popular developers and summarised them in a detailed report.
